With the 2017 Season almost upon us, with all the calamities that will entail with the new electronic scoring, the pitch is almost ready for battle, thanks to the support of people like Stuart Barnes, Keith Bowers and everyone else who’ve put in a shift getting the ground shipshape.
But it’s the Juniors who will be benefitting from the hard work first, with their training sessions commencing the night before the season starts, on Friday 21st April at 6:30pm, all newcomers welcome in the U9’s and U11’s age groups.
Also a note to remind parents of the upcoming ECB All Stars Cricket sessions to be held at Stalybridge St. Paul’s starting on the 24th of May, just £5 per session. See the post immediately below this one for more details and information on how to sign your child up.
All Stars Cricket is a brand new initiative from the England and Wales Cricket Board aimed at providing children aged five to eight with a great first experience in cricket. The programme is delivered across England and Wales at over 1,500 fully accredited All Stars Cricket centres. It is a fun and active way to develop your child’s skills, and through our eight-week programme they will learn lots – as well as make new friends – in a safe and inclusive environment.
All girls and boys are welcome, and each registered child will receive a pack of cricket goodies including a cricket bat, ball, backpack, water bottle, personalised shirt and cap to keep so that they can continue their love of cricket when they go home.
An 8 week, 1 hour programme on Wednesday nights, starting on the 24th of May, at 6:30pm costs just £5 per session, payable in advance.
